  1. You are terrific!

I just read this book, Virginia. And I have fallen in read with you. I love that you took the book a whole lot farther than most author's do, and that I found out so much more about them.

I am heading out to amazon now. I'm going to buy another of your books! So - yes - giving away a book free works! You have hooked me..

    Please keep writing!

  3. Hi Virginia,I just finished reading A Week at the Beach...I loved it! You are a wonderful storyteller, I found myself smiling and laughing out loud repeatedly. I just could not put it down and read it in a matter of hours.

I'm a mother of two, a full-time accounting student, a financial advisor, and married to a soldier...so your books are a wonderful escape! It reminds me of simpler times and leaves me in a better mood to face lifes challanges. I love my life but it's fun to live vicariously through your characters. I'm going to purchase your other books...after I finish writing my boring business report. It will be my treat to myself...Lord knows if I purchase these books beforehand, I'll never get my work done.

I'd love to see this book as a series!

    Thanks,
    Jennifer

P.S. I've read Nuptials for Sale too, loved that one too!

  4. Thanks, Jennifer! I'm glad that you've enjoyed my books. You might want to try Across the Pond and also Second Chance. They might be right up your alley. I will be releasing another book in February, There's a New Sheriff in Town, and I can't wait to see what you will think of that one.
I know what you mean about not being able to get anything done when there's a good book to be read! That's how I feel about all Jill Mansell books. I LOVE HER! I would recommend them.
Thank you again for your support!

  5. Let me start off by saying..."Hi, my name is Jennifer and I'm addicted to Virginia Jewel's books!!!" I just finished reading all your books and I loved every single one. I never got to finish my business report by the way, it's still a work in progress (or lack of).
I adore your characters, the women are smart, witty, and crass (like me) The men are just yummy and chivalrous. Chivalry isn't dead...well at least not in your stories. Whenever I finish reading one of your books it's like having a girl's night out, you know your going to have a good time. Looking forward to your next book.

    Thanks,
    Jennifer

  6. Hi Virginia,

I just finished reading a week at the beach. It was great, I couldn't put it down. I could really relate to the characters. I look forward to reading your other books. Seems to fit the perfect "chick lit" profile I love. It wasn't too drawn out and although I loved it I was sad to see it end. I look forward to reading the rest of your books. Thank you, for a great read!

    1. Hey Kim! So excited to hear that you've picked my book for your book club. Here are some things that just popped into my head for what you could do:
      - Instead of sitting on the regular furniture ask everyone to bring their favorite beach chair or towel
      - Serving snacks? How about Cami's favorite? Make PB&J sandwiches and cut them into little squares/triangles for finger foods
      - If you are serving food, why not serve it out of beach toys? Our PTA does this for the teachers every year and it's really cute. You just get a bunch of sand buckets and shovels, etc to use as your serving dishes
      - Start things off with a little fun like Cami, Nick, Darren, and Chrissy...why not play "I Never" but book style (i.e. I've never read "The Grapes of Wrath") Instead of taking shots, have everyone hold up five fingers, when someone says a book that you've read you put a finger down. The person left with the last finger wins a gift card to Amazon or a book store because obviously they need to read more ;o)

Those are just a few things that came to mind quickly. Feel free to come back and let me know how it went!
